What had happened was....

I am MIA today, yesterday, this week. WHY I dont' know about the others days but today, the inlaws are coming one day early YEP found out at 720 am they will be here at 3. I don't know about you all but I HATE house cleaning with a passion. SO I thought oh ya I got one more day. I can post my book review, mess around online, take the girls to McDonalds and then clean the house ~ I WOULD have plenty of time! UM no! It didn't happen... LOL.... I am so stressed out~! I still have to scrub 3 bathrooms , finish folding and put away THE MOUNTAIN of laundry.... they are going to be here in 30 minutes...

SO ya I am cursing myself out and asking why didn't I do this junk little by little a fews days... CUZ I am me that's why! HELLO! I am always late, I wait to last the minute, and I need to get organized.

WHEN life throughs you a curve ball...... run around like a LOCA in circles........ and pull your hair.. that is what I did LMAO :D

So I was in a FUNK  until I logged onto facebook and I saw this video....... REALLY great~

So here are my positives:
At least you have clean underwear on and you showered
At least you cleaned up the dog crap left by your dog.
At least the girls are bathed.
At least you remembered to feed your kids breakfast and lunch.

BUT seriously, after watching the video... I smacked myself in the head and said GET over it LOCA........

NEVER give up!

How to NEVER look fat again
by Charla Krupp

You'll never get dressed the same way again once you discover:

*smart, easy ways to hide arm flap, a big bust, a muffin top, back fat, Buddha belly, a big booty, wide hips, thunder thighs, and heavy calves-and that's only half the book.

*which fabrics, colors, and styles make women look fat

*absolutely the best shades, shapes, and brilliant buys to make the pounds invisible

*clever solutions for special fashion situations--workout gear, evening wear, and even swimsuits!

*which products, fashions, and services you shouldn't waste your money on

*the top ten tips that will make you look thinner by tonight!

So, if you've ever put on a piece of clothing and asked "Does this make me look fat?" Finally, here is the book that will answer your question.

I was so excited when I received this book. Time after time I always pick clothes that LOOK fantastic on the rack and then take it home, it then becomes a horrific disaster. I want to LOOK good. I want to look better. THIS book is the answer for me. The common mistakes all of us make when purchasing clothes that do make us look fat or in my case fatter! LOL

I LOVE her tips and here is one:
Charla's THINNER BY TONIGHT Tip:
If you have a Buddha belly, get a terrific LBD (little black dress) and wear an amazing necklace.

RIGHT now I think I have a buddha belly.. lol.
I am taking notes lady! Watch out world here I come!

As you know I have been cleaning my closets out and this was a perfect time for this book to arrive. I am getting rid of those types of clothes that make me look fat and keeping the ones that don't. Today is World Down Syndrome Day... look at these precious children.. ahhhhh just beautiful follow @reecesrainbow

Today is World Down Syndrome Day!

Every year, on March 21 (to honor the 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome presented in Down syndrome), the world comes together to raise awareness and advocate for people living with Down syndrome.

From Reece's Rainbows website:
I have fallen in LOVE with this little girl. Oh how I wish I met the criteria right now but I don't :(.  LOOK at this angelic face waiting for a home.
Alina (23)

Girl, Born January 28, 2006

"Oh Mama, I have been waiting so long, won't you come for me?"

Our little Alina has brown hair and brown eyes. She was born with a VSD (ventricular septal defect) and also has hypothyroidism. She is doing very well, but should be seen by a cardiologist when she gets home.

Alina has recently turned 4, and is now "at risk" for institutionalization.

Now is the perfect time to start your paperwork for Alina! She can not be adopted from the place she will be sent. She is blessed to still be at the baby house, which is one of the nicer ones. We have had several families adopt from here, and this region is a beautiful place to visit. There are MANY children with Down syndrome and other special needs waiting in this orphanage who can be adopted together.

I have $135 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

As you all know already I am a huge FAN of Reece's Rainbow. This organization finds homes for special need Angels. They are wonderful!

There is an adorable little one listed on Reeces Rainbow  (you will need to scroll down to find her) who was born with Larsen syndrome.

She is such an adorable little girl, only 1 year old!

Delilah (23)
Girl, Born March 26, 2009

Sweet Deliliah was born with Larsen syndrome. She does have additional limb deformities, in addition to the typical hand and foot differences common in Larsen syndrome. Hoping to learn more about any possible medical or cognitive needs she has as a result of her genetic differences.

I have $0 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

Reece's Rainbow blog featured this story of a mommy blogger blogging about her daughter born with Larsen syndrome.
HERE is a blog written by a mom who is raising her daughter who has Larsen syndrome. She is a beautiful little girl. For anyone who might be considering adopting Delilah, I thought this blog would be an interesting blog to visit. :)

Cherry blossoms, Spring, Teachers..... the memories

Every spring is a reminder of my youth. New blossoms, baby birds, clean crisp air. I love it! Why my youth? With the recent PINK slips given to teachers (23,000) in the state of CALIFORNIA, I got me thinking about those great teachers that made a difference to me.

Everytime I see cherry trees I flashback to second grade and making cherry trees on paper with tissue. I remember the soft pink pieces, elmer's glue, wrapping the paper at the end of my No. 2 pencil, ink, and creativity. I have fond memories of my teachers growing up and the little things in the world remind me SO MUCH of them everyday.
Brooklyn's Botanical Gardens-guestofaguest.com

It kind of looked like this but on paper. You had a straw and some ink and you would blow the ink in any direction to form the branches. You let it dry then place the tissue pieces on the end of your pencil, add a dot of glue and with your pencil place the tissue pieces and let dry.
Just not all fancified like the Martha did here LOL...
You get the drift

I would like to do a special shot out to my teachers who made an impact in my life:
Mrs. Celoni- 2nd grade
Mr. Linch-7th science
Mrs. Harris-8th History
Mrs. Serna-Jr. High PE
Mrs. Ghilarducci-High School PE
Mrs. Glenn-High School Sewing

So many more......
Any of you have a special teacher that TOUCHED your heart?

LET ME HEAR IT

Knowledge is POWER, I think Knowledge can send you right into LOONEYVILLE if you are not careful!

The ticket for the crazy train is on my dresser waiting to be used at anytime. Staring at me. It says don't worry we can leave and go where others are the same and you won't feel like a WEIRDO at all. :)  Paradise...... the paradise for the crazies........

I LOVE to read. I LOVE to watch medical shows, I LOVE to watch what can happen shows. I LOVE to know stuff. ANY stuff.......... some useful and some not so useful.

My downfall.......... THE Knowledge of "WHAT CAN HAPPEN".

THAT's why I say KNOWLEDGE is a ticket straight to crazytown if you are not careful!  YEP! RIGHT there ready to pull you in like a pit of quicksand and never letting go.

You can't breathe, You are paralyzed with fear, and You wish someone would just punch you so you could be put out of your misery.

A simple bump on the head turns into a possible serious fatal situation. Heart is racing. Jeff looking at me like a LOCA and rolling his eyes. You know he really is good for that. Hysteria starts. Body trembling. Then ahhh you speak with the doctor and everything is all GOOD.

Can't ride rollercoast rides.... I use to LOVE rollercoaster rides.... TIME and knowledge has truly made me into a big huge CHICKEN!... why.... Cause I know what MIGHT happen

Knowledge of what happens to the brain while riding a roller coaster, the brain moves , causes a headache, can cause a blood clot.... I know prob a million to ONE but hey I don't want to be THAT one. LOL....

HERE come the rolling of the eyes... Oh ya and when they do make me ride (which is rare and my darn Puerto Rican pride takes over cuz I have to prove them wrong )I am terrified, I am shaking, looking at the nuts and screws thinking OM goodness I am so overweight right now ... I WONDER if this thing can hold me.... I double , triple check the safety thing to make sure that thing is LOCKED... I know I need HELP I do...

I know what can happen!  Thank you information OVERLOAD

Then there was having baby number 4.... done this before... but this last time I was horrified... I read up on the statistics of fatalities, what could go wrong, how risky this surgery, yada yada yada....... yep CRAZY I know... thank goodness my mom saw my worry this last time.... and whispered to me I was the same way. You are going to be alright! I promise.... Awwwww thank you mom.....

WHY do I do that! Seriously, why do I want to know EVERYTHING.

THEN there is riding an airplane... I am terrified... my teens laugh at me cuz they can see it in my face..... they tease me.. say what was that! LOL.... big meanies..... WHY cause I know what might happen!

When I was young and dumb, it was great I rode every ride known to mankind, Climb trees, jump from trees, NOW after having kids.... I am scared of everything.

When they want to do something... all the scenarios run WILD in my head... CAUSE I know what can happen.

HEY does anyone know if they have a pill for that! LOL......Cause seriously this is annoying! LOL.....

Rock on peeps!
Later,
G

Yep it is official I am the worse MOTHER of the year...

The votes have been tallied and verified. Ok I own it! I am trying really hard to be this perfect mother and improve my parenting skills. I also said I would work on my mouth! Yes, my potty mouth! I don't know if you noticed but I don't use many curse words in my posts for the last 4 months, PROUD of me I know you all are. :)

FAILED..... at home..... I try believe me I try....... years of throwing in those word here and there like adjectives for everything. SOMETIMES I don't realize I use them and sometimes well let's not talk about those times. LOL   IT is habit , a bad habit! THE norm in my circles, the language of choice most of the time.
I AM WORKING on it! I am seriously I am! I beat myself up so much and then I end up crying like a baby. UGHHH anyways to the funny story of why I am a bad MOTHER!

My 4 year old has started to repeat a phrase that I think she thinks is NORMAL speech , yep to my horror. WTF phrase... I KNOW horrible right! She starts Kindergarden in AUGUST!! OMG I am freaking out! Can you imagine her in class. I am so embarrassed so I am trying not to use the word.. I AM trying! I always explain to her that is isn't a nice word. IT is a bad word. A really bad word and I am sorry for saying that... OK so it has been working I haven't heard her say it as much!

Wheww right!

NOW get this! This stabs me in heart! OH my goodness!

My one and half year old................................says FK    ..... I died! I lay my head in shame!
At first I thought she was saying DUCK, nope my 4 year old confirmed it! When she says mommy she is saying.. and then she whispers it in my ear!

FAIL@!!!!!!!!!

All week I am trying to correct the word by saying OH you see a duck! OR a frog  or a ANYTHING

ANYTHING but that word! Yes anything but that WORD.......

SHE KEEPS saying it! She doesn't say it in response to anything just says it!

MY 4 year old just shakes her head and she that is a bad word... you can't say that! My 1 1/2 year old just giggles and continues playing having no clue of the COMPLETE HORROR I feel inside!

Has this happened to ANY of you EVER? EVER?   ok if not just make it UP CUZ I feel like DOO DOO!! PEOPLE.... complete pile of DOO DOO!!!!!

Please pray for me , I mean ALOT! I need it in more ways then you will ever know!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angels of the week~ Just beautiful girls.....Follow @reecesrainbow

From Reese's Rainbow blog:
Meet Valerie
Born October 4, 2002
"My name means RAIN"
Little Varsha is one of the prettiest little girls
you will ever see!
She is 6 years old and unfortunately, has had at least 2 adoptions fall through for various reasons. We are anxiously seeking a family to adopt her quickly.
Varsha is a healthy, happy little girl.
Varsha came to the orphanage in October 2002. The police had found her at a bus stand in East Delhi. According to doctor’s assessment she was one day old. According to the doctor, Varsha was born prematurely at 28 – 30 weeks. Initial days she suffered from dehydration, hypothermia and neonatal jaundice and pneumonia. Her weight during that time was 1.1kg. She had to be hospitalised for a week Her chromosomal check showed that she is a Down syndrome child. Bottle-feeding was introduced in the month of November 2002. By end of November her weight was 1.75kg.
On 7th March 2006, Varsha took her first 5 steps on her own! She followed a few instructions like ‘hold the napkin’, give it back’ etc. She was able to use a spoon to feed herself with ice cream.
She started going to a special school in April 2007. She enjoys her school. On holidays it looks like she missed her school. She spends 5yrs in the school. 5 days a week. Varsha loves to dance. She also loves to drum on her toy drum or tables etc. She has beautiful silky hair. She helps in dressing up and wearing her shoes. She follows instruction most of the time. She shows affection. She seeks attention. She loves to be carried. She needs big hugs from her caregivers.

At present her weight is 14kgs; height is 100.5 cms and HC is 44cms
Varsha is going to be a blessing to any family who is able to adopt her. She is clearly doing well in a "family" setting, loves school, and will be able to adjust quickly to her new adoptive family.

•Married couples only
•Must be married a minimum of 3 years
•No spouse over the age of 48
•No more than 4 children at home
•Child should become the youngest in the family, if possible
•Both parents travel, one trip, 7-10 days
Please contact Tami Davidson at Dillon International for more information.

FROM the Poppies Blog: Check her post out and see what you can do for this gorgeous girl.

Her post:
So, please meet, Victoria or Vika as she's affectionately called. She's beautiful, isn't she? She is definitely an orphanage favourite and well, if I'm honest, she's mine too.

Oh you have no idea how I wish the words in that sentence 'she's mine' didn't just refer to the rest of the thought, 'favourite'. I wish she really was mine!

If I didn't live in the UK I know I'd already be in the process of adopting her.

I absolutely long to be this girl's mum but knowing I can't be, I grieve and long for her to have a mum that will love her and care for her and give her all the hugs and loves and cuddles I give my own Little Poppet.

So, I'm hopeful that you will all help me find her a family. If you have facebook, I hope you'll send your friends here to learn about her. If you are on twitter I hope you will follow me @PoppiesBlooming and RT all my tweets about her. If you have email I hope you will send an email to everyone you know telling of this little Russian girl that needs her forever family. She already has £4793 in her fund already so what a brilliant help towards the cost of her adoption!

Amazing how smells bring back so many memories

Yesterday I was at a Scentsy party smelling all of the different varieties they had. All of sudden I smell one I can't remember the name and it smelled of roses. I got a quick flash of Easter, age 8, at my mother's aunt's house looking for eggs. She had these row of roses before you entered her home.. and the aroma of pink roses filled the air... kind of freaky! I can't remember what I ate this morning or where my keys are but I could remember with great detail this fun and excited part in my life.

Another smell I love and bring so many different memories flooding back is Coconut oil. I remember my teenage years of tanning on the roof baked in baby oil and going to the beach with my family. Or the first time meeting Jeff. Those little things we forget with such a busy life. Time flies by so fast!

My ultimate favorite smell is and don't laugh. The perfume Exclamation. YEP I love it. I am so glad it is still available. I like to wear sometimes to remind of my younger years of fun, dumb, and the amazing. It brings back the 80's and 90's for me which were a fantastic time in my life. I loved every minute of it! :)

I wish I could bookmark ALL the special things in my life with smells so when I get older I can return and live them all over again!

Do certain smells open the flood gates for you? Let me know and leave a comment.

G

Horizon Chocolate Milk Giveaway 2 Winners will receive............

Mmm chocolate!

Horizon Organic® Lowfat Chocolate Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 provides a great-tasting and easy way to add calcium and DHA to your family’s diet. DHA Omega-3 is an important nutrient that helps support heart, brain and eye health. Available in lowfat half gallons and quarts.

DHA belongs to a category of healthy fatty acids known as Omega-3's. Found in high concentrations in the tissues of the brain and eye, DHA Omega-3 is thought to help support healthy function in these areas. DHA has also been shown to help support heart health.

DHA provides a nutritional boost for children's growing minds and bodies. Children's brains grow incredibly fast. In fact, the brain nearly quadruples in the first five years of life.

DHA is a key structural component of the brain, yet many young children don't get their recommended daily amount of DHA as it is found in a limited number of food sources.

Horizon Organic Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 is fortified with a natural, 100 percent vegetarian and sustainable source of DHA - a safe, wholesome, delicious way to bring more of this important nutrient into your family's diet.

I have always been a great fan of Horizon's Organic Chocolate Milk boxes when visiting my favorite Coffee shop! Everytime I get the girls a box of either vanilla or chocolate.

I am very excited to purchase the chocolate milk plus DHA Omega- 3's for home and I hope they are available in the milk boxes because they are easy to take on the go. Because as a mom EASY, Health benefits, and Happy kids makes for a HAPPY MOMMY! :)
