My poor lil peanut is sick :( ..... both girls are taking a nap... I am surfing the net... I found a great post about painting your interior doors WHAT a great idea! :)

So after being at the doctors' office this morning for 2 1/2 hours my little peanut has ear infections in both ears :( Poor thing....... she is sleeping now after being miserable all morning. We got the meds, pain killers, and they both have a full tummy, NAP time! :)

So I found this cool idea on aol.com.

Painting interior doors, is that cool or what.. I have never thought of that I don't know why LOL... since this kids thrash all the white doors in the house. But it looks great! Check out the pics below.

New vaccine will be available to infants

Found this article on Aol.com... for all you mommies or daddies out there. Something new coming out.

Pfizer's Pediatric Vaccine Prevnar 13 Approved

By MELLY ALAZRAKI

When Pfizer (PFE) announced its most recent quarterly results, analysts grilled management about the status of the Prevnar 13 pediatric vaccine application. Well, they can all relax now: Pfizer on Wednesday announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has finally approved the vaccine.

Prevnar 13 was approved for the vaccination of children aged 6 weeks through 5 years to protect against 13 varieties of the Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria, which can cause such serious illnesses as sepsis, infections of the blood, meningitis and pneumonia.

The vaccine will essentially replace the original blockbuster Prevnar vaccine, which only protected against seven types of the bacteria. The new drug was actually developed by Wyeth -- once again proving the merits of that acquisition. Prevnar generated $2.7 billion in sales in 2008. Analysts have estimated sales of Prevnar 13 will be between $5 and $6 billion in 2014-2015. No wonder Pfizer shares are up 1.3%.

Of key importance is the fact that the new vaccine offers protection against a common subtype of the bacteria that became resistant to antibiotics about five years ago. Prevnar 13 is the only vaccine to protect against this strain.

Sales Could Partially Offset Lipitor Declines

Pfizer expects the vaccine, which has already been approved in 38 countries and is expected to be introduced in the U.S. in the first quarter, might become its biggest seller after Lipitor. Generic competition for Lipitor, worth some $12 billion a year in sales, could start as soon as next year. Given those numbers, gains for the vaccine could not fully offset the expected decline in Lipitor's sales; in addition, Prevnar 13 faces competition from rival vaccines: GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) Synflorix and Merck's (MRK) Pneumovax 23, the first of which has been approved in Europe, and the second of which is approved for adults.

Meanwhile, Prevnar 13 is also being studied in adults in global Phase III clinical trials, with regulatory submissions expected later this year. An approval for adult use "would open up essentially hundreds of millions of additional patients" Geno Germano, president of Pfizer's specialty care unit told The New York Times. Pfizer has estimated it could add $1.5 billion in sales.

Infections caused by the seven types of bacteria Prevnar protects against had dropped 99% by 2007, according to the FDA. Prevnar 13 offers 90% protection, compared to Prevnar's 80%, and Pfizer has estimated this could reduce deaths from pneumococcus by an additional 9,800 over 10 years. It's no wonder that already, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has recommended the use of Prevnar 13 for healthy children as indicated by the FDA's approval.

More Effective Against Invasive Diseases Than Ear Infections

The FDA is requiring Pfizer to conduct several post-marketing analyses on the vaccine's safety and efficacy. In the Phase III studies, which involved more than 7,000 infants and young children, the vaccine had common side effects. However, somewhat disturbing was the temporary pause of breathing following vaccination that has been observed in some infants born prematurely.

Pfizer noted that Prevnar 13 may not protect all individuals receiving the vaccine, and that its protection against ear infections is expected to be less than that for invasive disease. As a recent mumps outbreak in New York among children who had received the MMR vaccination has shown, vaccines are not perfect. Mumps is known to be the weakest link in that vaccine.

According to a World Health Organization 2002 estimate, pneumococcal disease is the leading cause of vaccine-preventable death worldwide in children younger than 5 years old. Pfizer plans to introduce the vaccine in developing countries as well.

Grissell

Meet Little Jeanne B. Born July of 2006.

There is no medical information on this little girl, but as you can see by the picture, her eyelids would need correction by surgery. Do not know how much Jeanne's sight is effected.

What little information we do have on her is, she is calm and affectionate.

This little girl has stole my heart, and I pray that she finds a family soon. She is going to be 5 this year and she will be transferred soon.

If interested in Jeanne PLEASE contact Andrea the Executive Director at reecerainbow.org. bamaroberts@comcast.net

OCTOMOM was on the view and wow! You sure cleared up all that stuff the media says about you, yep cleared it up!

Octomom Nayda Suleman was on the View a few days ago or yesterday I can't remember because my mind is still spinning from her interview. AVE Maria! Round and round she went speaking nonsense, never fully answering the questions, laughing, and just plain freaking me out!

Did you watch it? OMG I feel bad for the kids. I mean I have 4 kids and thank goodness their dad is involved and around because I tell ya it is so hard! 6 kids before and the 8 without her parents in the picture and the guy nowhere around... one has autism.. HOW DOES SHE DO IT! My goodness.

I got chest pain just hearing about it!

I don't know if it was nerves but she was talking so fast. Sometimes sentences didn't make sense and were so long.

They repeatedly asked her how was she going to support these kids financially. TO ME she dodged the question, around around she went speaking nonsense. It made my head hurt. But she did say she was writing a book. But what is permanent solution, I didn't get that. That is alot of mouths to feed.

Then Joy asks her to name her kids and all I could thinks was DUDE 14 kids. I have 4 , 5 counting Jeff's son and half the time I call my kids by their wrong names.. my kids just look at me like I am crazy or something... I end up saying who ever you are, just do it!

pic. best week ever

She doesn't have a support system and it so sad. I feel so bad for the kids. So bad.

I do have to say she does have a rockin body. WOW is all I can say dang!

She says "I would feel like I cheated," she tells Star. "I wanted to prove to myself that I can do it on my own, naturally. My friends call me Rubber Band because I always snapped back so quickly after my other kids!"

I will say she sure knows how to make fun of herself and take it in stride. That is hard to do.

But on a serious note:
I really think she needs some therapy because she really needs to get into reality and make the right decisions for her kids. She doesn't have any support around her.

I don't know if I heard her right but did she say she wouldn't rule out another child?  ARE YOU CRAZY!
Someone help this woman.

GOD BLESS those children.

Grissell

Totally Toned Arms..... you seeing a theme here! LOL.... that's right I am on a journey to a better me.

It is no mistake that I am loving to review books that help me in all sorts of ways. I made a New Year's resolution like every year but this time I mean it! I swear! I do! Really! Yes sir ree! It is going to happen and you all will have to marvel at my after pics because I am going to be one HOT tamale! Uhuh! Uhuh! :)

Michelle Obama the Queen of beautifully sculptured arms have left most of us drooling just looking at them. Sleeveless is something I dream of and something I dread because how horrible they look. You know waving in the wind, they like to say hi on their own without permission. They are totally making me so mad that I need to do something about it.

Reece's Rainbow~Angel of the week

Look at this beauty! Can you help? Or know someone who can? Read this and learn her story.

Lena (36)
Girl, Born November 2, 2004

Lena is a beautiful little girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She was born with Down syndrome, but also struggles with the effects of possible CP and likely some autistic tendencies. She is able to walk on her own and is described as very active, but she does not socialize very much with the other children and is non verbal at this time. It is children like Lena that break my heart so badly, because in an institutional setting, which she is facing soon, she will just continue to close off into herself and truly become one of those children we envision as "institutionalized". :( I know there is a family out there for this very deserving little girl!

I have $60 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

Beyond Blue Surviving Depression and Anxiety
and making the most of bad genes

About the book:

BEYOND BLUE, the book, is part memoir/part self-help. It describes Borchard's experience of living with manic depression as well as providing cutting-edge research and information on dealing with mood disorders. By exposing her vulnerability, she endears herself immediately to the reader and then reduces even the most depressed to laughter as she provides a companion on the journey to recovery and the knowledge that the reader is not alone.

Comprised of four sections and twenty-one chapters, BEYOND BLUE covers a wide range of topics from codependency to addiction, poor body image to postpartum depression, from alternative medicine to psychopharmacology, managing anxiety to applying lessons from therapy. Because of her laser wit and Erma Bombeck sense of humor, every chapter is entertaining as well as serious.

Beyond Blue Review.... I tell ya this book really hooked me in!

From the first word in her prelude " The Black Hole of Bile-it's not forever " I knew I was hooked. I couldn't put it down. She was funny about a serious topic "people" don't like to talk about. I could picture every scenario like a movie. At the end of the prelude it already touch my soul and it was only the prelude.

The ending paragraph:

That's why depressives need each other. We have to remind the suffering person that the Black Hole of Bile isn't a permanent place. Light is near. In fact, as Meister Eckhard wrote, "it is in the darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.

There is hope. This book is about that light.

Beyond Blue Surviving Depression & Anxiety and making the most of bad genes

I knew this was going to be a great book when the introduction:
"CONFESSIONS of a Holy Whackjob", cracked me up. I thought to myself I like this gal. She is funny, open and straight to the point.

You will LOVE this book. Everyone can relate to it at some point in their lives where things feel out of control, we are sad, or stuck in a hole. I am so happy to have had this opportunity to review this books through The product review place.
